KAIPARA. September 10.—Sailed; The barquentine IVaitemata, for Sydney. WESTPORT. September 11.—A very heavy sea and north-west gale have prevailed all day. Nine steamers are in port, and three more are due. Six are loaded waiting for t ! 'C close weather to moderate. The s.s. Taieri crossed the bar against the signals. She came too close into bank to observe that the signal to take the bar had been altered. The Taieri, however, cuinc on without difficulty. There is 110 sign of the weather moderating. SYDNEY. _ September 11.— barque Pet, a New Guinea trader, is missing. She was last heard of in company with tho Royal Tar at New Guinea. Sailed : S.s. Waihora, for Auckland, MELBOURNE. September 11.—Arrived yesterday : S.s. Mauapouri. •
