Constantinople, September 9. It is officially announced that the change of Ministry does not imply a change in the European policy of Turkey.
Sir W. A. White, British Ambassador, demands that the Porto should apologise for firing on British merchant vessels passing the Dardanelles in July last, and in the meantime declines to visit the fill tan's palace. kiamil Pasha's friendly policy towards England is now given as the real cause of his downfall. He is virtually a prisoner. London, September 9. The Russian Government is uneasy at the attitude adopted by China, and lias decided to store immense quantities of munitions of war at Vladivostok. Russia is massing troops on the Austrian and German frontiers. Paris, September 9. A Greek statesman, presumably M. Tricoupis, has assured M. Blowitz, the Paris correspondent of the London Times, that unless the Turkish Sultan concedes justice to the Cretans, the Greek fleet will take the matter in its own hands.
