The Marine Board dccided that the grounding of the British India Company's steamer Bancoora near Barwon Heads, on July 12, was due to gross neglect on the part of Captain Brittanyj the distance run having been overlogged, but owing to the efforts made to save the vessel, they would only , suspend his certificate for four months BANK .REVELATIONS. Sydney, September 9. The investigation into the affairs oi the Australian Mercantile Loan and Guarantee Bank resulted in some extraordinary revelations. A former managing director was in receipt of £1000 per annum for nothing, and had in addition an overdraft amounting to £10,000. The meetings of shareholders have been characterised by most disorderly scenes. . •
