Prices realised were from par to 5 per cent, below the July sales. The decline was chiefly in medium and inferior wools. The arrivals number 416,000 bales. 70,000 have been sent forward, and the number available is 350,800. A strong "bear" movement in the Continental wool markets is causing depression in River Plate tops. r Merinos, good, are par to halfpenny lower: inferior halfpenny to penny and crossbred halfpenny below closing rates at last auction. Enormous shipments of wheat from America are depressing the markets daily. News, however, says the decline is onlv temporary.
