THE NATIONAL ASSOCIATION.
_ TO THE EDITOR. Sir, —I notice, in yesterday's issue, that) you record a meeting, including the platform of this newly-formed body. But I think you will agree with me that the name should be. "The Nationalisation Associationas I hear that Mr. Withy presided at the meeting at which the constitution and rules were adopted, and was, at the election of Council on Monday, returned at the top score. I hear, further, that avowedly the primary object in forming such an Association was to counteract the anti-poverty legislative polie„ >j£ the present Parliament in attacking land titles, on the t ound, I presume, that the germ of land nationalisation, i.e., tho confiscatory theory, is the real disease at work in undermining the confidence el capital. Therefore, with Mr. Withy as a leading spirit in the new organisation, and with a platform which even "The National Liberal Association" might very consistently adopt, success can scarcely be looked "for.—l an?, etc., A National Liberal.
