SAD SUICIDE OF A BRIDE.

Dr. Dih.ock hold an inquest at tho Swan Hotel, Hampton Wick, near London, on tho body of Etheline Ella Doll, an artißb, aged 25, whose body had been found in the Thames. The deceased was identified by Eclwarcl Herbert Dell, an electrician, living at Ebor House, Grove Park, Chiswick, who said he was her brother. Sho had been low-spirited for some time, bub had never threatened to commit suicide. Evidence having been given as to the discovery of the body in the river, Mr. Thomas Bolas,F.S.A., was called as a witness. Ho said he lived at 8, Grove Terrace, Chiswick, and was an analytical chemist. The last time he paw her alive was late at night on the 4th July, and she had then arranged to meet witness and a friend on the following Tuesday to discuss metaphysical questions. In reply to the coroner, the witness said tho doceased was engaged to be married to him, but she promised her father on his death-bed that she would look after her mother and sister, and she feared that marriage would compel her to break that promise. The deceased had dwelt on the subject of death and tho future state, bub made no allusion to selfdestruction. Having heard other testimony, tho jury returned a verdiob of " Suicide while of unsouud mind."
