First Spring Meeting are due to-night at ten o'clock. AUCKLAND TROTTING CLUB/ Owners of trotting horses and ponies are reminded that nominations for the Auckland Trotting Club Meeting are due this day. The headings of the different races will be found in our advertising columns. From the number of trotting horses about there is every prospect of very largo entries. RANGITIKEI HUNT CLUB MEETING. [BY TELEGRAPH.—PRESS ASSOCIATION.] Marton, Thursday. The Rangitikci Hunt Club Steeplechase Meeting took place to-day. Thero was a good attendance, and the weather was fine. The folio iving were the results of the principal events Open Hurdle Race.—Rere, 1; Kaimanawa, 2; Matchless, 3. Dividend, £4 12s. Hunt Cup.—Klintstone, 1; Doctor, 2; Piako, 3. Dividend, £4 2s. • 'pen Steeplechase.— Queenslander, 1; Worth, 2; Canute, 3. Dividend, £3 9s. The Pakuranga hounds meet to-morrow at 2 p.m. at Morningside. The New Zealand Turf Register for the past season is announced to make, its appearance It will this year consist of about 500 pages, and is to lie published at a lower figure than former volumes.
