As there seem? to be a mconception regarding the election of a pivisional Council of the Journalists' Instute, it may be well to explain that the. ection of five Wellington men Was carrier m the proposal of Dunedin and Blenheiujmeuibers, in a meeting in which the Well/gton men were outnumbered more than /vo to one. The object was to have nienon tho spot who would start the Institute/or so soon as this is done every branch /ill elect its own members of the Conner and then the five who were elected last Sjturday will simply retain office to tie enj of the year, when they retire, and tlenceirward all councillors ill be chosen by tip various members.
