THE FATAL ACCIDENT TO A SHUNTER.

Donedin, Mondjiy. At the inquest on David Scott, shunter, the evidence showed that the deceased, wishing to put a brake on a truck, ran after it, and crossed in front, when he slipped. There was no necessity to put the brake on, but if deceased had thought there wa«, he conld have crossed at the back of the truck, which was only travelling about H miles an hour. A verdict of accidental death was returned.
