Paris, July 25. i Early last month it was reported that the French expedition to Lake Tchad, Central Africa, had been massacred, and the bodies of several of the party eaten by cannibals. Later intelligence confirms the statement that the expedition was attacked by the natives. During the fight sixteen of the former were killed and thirty wounded.
