_';-.: When the news of the attempt on the Czarewitch was communicated to his mother she swooned away, fearing the Prince had been fatally wounded, and that the news was being purposely kept back from her.
The Mikado has started for Kioto to see the Czarewitch.
Yokohama, May 13. The wound received by the Czarewitch was ■a \ shallow one, and". three inches in length. , , The policeman; who committed the offence belongs to the Tamuris, a tribe hostile to foreigners. * .
