COUNTRY NEWS.
[BY TELEGRAPH.—own CORRESPONDENT.] Cambridge, Friday. At the Resident Magistrate's Court, to-day, before Captain Jackson, R.M., William Hume was brought up on remand, charged with attempted suicide, and was bound over to keep the peace for six months in his own recognizances for £50 and Mr. De Blois' for £25. Rotorua, Friday. ; Thirty-two visitors took their departure to-day for Auckland, via Oxford and Okoroire. Notwithstanding this large exodus, there is still a good number in the place. Ten tourists arrived from Oxford and Okoroire yesterday, and five others from Tanpo. Amongst the latter is Lady Whitmore.
