[BY telegraph.—own CORRESPONDENT.] /, Thames, Friday. A young man named David Cassells was admitted into the hospital this evening suffering from a broken thigh. He was at work for Mr. Moyle in the Kauaeranga bush when a log rolled over on him and caused the accident.Kv At the Police Court to-day a second-hand goods dealer, named Robert Turner, was convicted on three separate charges of receiving stolen property from one Charles Curtis, junr., and was sentenced to three months' imprisonment with hard labour in. Mount Eden Gaol on each charge, the sentences to run concurrently.
