POST AND TELEGRAPH OFFICERS' SOCIETY.
[BY TELEGRAPH.PRESS ASSOCIATION.] Wellington, Tuesday. The annual meeting of the delegates of the New Zealand Post and Telegraph Officers' Society was formally opened yesterday, and adjourned till to-day, when the president's address was delivered, and the secretary's report, and other matters were laid before the delegates. A letter was forwarded to the secretary of the department, asking for an interview with the Postmaster-General, to arrange the basis on which a recognition of the society will be made.
