ROTORUA NEWS.
[BY ,TELEGRAPH. —OWN CORRESPONDENT.] Rotokua, Wednesday. Several visitors besides His Excellency the Governor .and party took their departure to-day. Eight went to Taupo, including Captain and Mrs. Hutton, who have been here on a visit after an absence of four years. An old man named John Denis, well-known here, and for 22 years in the colonial and Imperial services, and at one time Sergeant of Police in Melbourne, applied at the Town Board meeting to-day to be placed in the Old Men's Home. The Board have promised to communicate with the Government to have him admitted into the Costley Institute. Mr. T. Ryan started this morning for Lake Taupo on a sketching tour.
