SHEEP FAIR AT GREEN LANE.

A SHEKP fair was held yesterday by Messrs. Hunter and Nolan at their Green Lane yards, and was very successful, all of the lots, except two or three, being disposed of. Good prices were realised. Lincoln ewes reached 14s, obtained for a consignment sent by Mr. Trotter from Napier. Some of the sheep thus sold were at Drury, not having reached the sale-yards in time. Those penned were large-framed, and appeared to be in capital condition. The competition for rams was rather dull, the highest figure reached in this section being £5. The sale was admirably conducted by Mr. J. P. A. Phileon. There was a numerous attendance of buyers. The following l° ts were disposed of :—
