G. M. Lawrence, of Yorkville, S.C., says, under date of October 9, ISS9 " Score one for the Waterbury. The clergy :l P" prove of it. A short time ago one of the ministers, while conducting a series of meetings a few miles west of this place, was very much annoyed by parties opening and snapping their massive oroice watches. Our brother of the cloth bow with it as long as possible, when h l3 patience became exhausted, and lie kindly informed his hearers that a Waterbury watch only cost 2.50d01., and with it 0116 could see the time without snapping the case."
