Messrs. C. E. Paget and Co. Report as follows of the past week's business Supplies of all kinds of produce have been fairly laree, and demand all round has been up to previous weeks. Values in all classes shows but little aleration either way. Potatoes : Supply has been large and sales fairly good. Hobartowns have sold at from £4 to £4 15s per ton ; kidneys, £4 5s to £5 ; Port Fairys, £4 10s; other kinds, £3 to £3 10s. Onions : Demand somewhat dull. Silver kins, Jd to Id; potato onions, unsaleable, jjd and Jd. Garden vegetables of all kinds sold fairly well at following prices : —Green peas, 6d to BJd per pick ; tomatoes, l£d to 24d;. apples, ordinary samples, ljd and ljd; lemons, lOd to is 9d per dozen ; cabbages, la Od to 2s fid per sack ; carrots, 9(1 per dozen bunches ; turnips, Sd to 9Jd ; peaches, lOd to Is Id per dozen ; plums, 3Jd to 4Jil ; gooseberries, 2}d to 3J(I. Grain, etc.: Oats, 2s 2d to 2s 4d per bushel; barlev, is 3d ; wheat, 3s s<l to 3s 9d ; maize, 3s Id to 3s 9cl; bran, 3s 9d per 1001b : sharps, 4s. Farm and dairy produce : Cheese, Sid to 4Jd for good quality ; inferior kinds, ljd to 2jd ; prime bams, 8d to SJd ; bacon, ditto, (id toTd ; barns, mixed lots, 3td to sil; bacon, ditto, 2d to 4}d ; fresh butter, 4il to 5Jd; corned ditto, 2d to 3Jd ; lard, 3d to 3Jd ; honey,*2Jd to 4d ; fresh eggs, 9d to Is per dozen. Poultry was in .-mall supply. Fowls brought Is 7d to 2s 2d each ; ducks, Is M to Is lOd; turkeys, 4s 6d to Os 3d; small pigs, 2s 9d to 5s 4d.
