SUICIDE OF A HOSPITAL DISPENSER.
[BY TELEGRAPH.—PRESS ASSOCIATION'.] Invercargill, Wednesday. R. M. Morrison, dispenser and secretary at the Hospital, committed suicide late this svening, taking prussic acid. He was under notice to leave. The chairman of the Trust and the House Surgeon had been going into matters connected with the institution and had asked Morrison for a document, which he went to his room ostensibly to procure. As he did not return he was sent for, and as the door was found locked it was forced, and Morrison was found on the point of death. He was formerly a soldier, and was an excellent dispenser, but his habits were irregular. It is believed that his accounts were inaccurate.
