The Minister hpes to be in a position to call for tenders nxt week. The fact is. the engineers of te Public Works Department have been p.leavouring to find a way by which the ■iaduct over the Makohine ravine may be sortened. This ravine is about 620 feet nan, and ISO feet deep, and is situated uout -4 miles from Marton.
