Hunter River Miners' Association decline to cut coal for anyone till the present dispute is settled. Melbourne, September 30. At a meeting of the Anglican Church Assembly, Bishop Goe characterised the aggressive action of trades unionism toward non-unionists as sheer tyranny. The president of the Shearers' Union states that the order to strike in Victoria has been suspended for the present. Adelaide, September 30. Unless a supply of coal is shortly forthcoming the Wallaroo and Moonta copper mines will be shut down, affecting 3500 persons. The Gas Company intend in future to obtain supplies of coal from England. THE BROKEN HILL MINERS. Sydney, September 30. The Broken Hill miners are very bitter against the delegates who attended the conference the owners. The statement that the Labour Defence Committee endorses the delegates' action caused immense uproar at a meeting, and cries of "We repent everything" were raised. In a number of mines work is ready to be resumed. Surfacemen and engineers want to get to work at once, but others object. SUBSCRIPTIONS FROM ENGLAND London, September 30. The appeal made by the London trade unions on behalf of the Australian strikers has realised £475.
