A Melbourne cablegram received yesterday stated that the following horses have been scratched for the Caulfield and Melbourne Gups :—Briton, Proh Pudor, Tradition, and Manton. Also the following for the Mel , bourne Cup : Plover and Sylvester. The three-year-old Megaphone, who was recently sold for £3000, was purchased as a yearling for 90 guineas.
