CONFERENCE OF BREWERS AND PUBLICANS.
[BY TELEGRAPH. —riIKSS ASSOCIATION.] Wki.li.mjton, Tuesday. A MKETISG of those interested in the brewing, cordial manufactories and publican's business was held to - day, morning, afternoon, and night. The delegates present were:— ■ C I. Greon!«ladc, representing Dunedin, Oamaru, and Auckland ; G. T. Cross, Napier : C. Ainyei ami W. Smith, Chrietehurch ; William Tally, Wanguiiui ; J. M igiiimtv, Inverciirgill ; and the local delegates —Messrs. K. J. McCarthy, W. Kennedy, J. Condon, J. Jack, J. PlimiiKT, T. Senior, T. W. Young, J. 1.. Bacon, and J. Caitoll. The only businoe* done today was a formal discussion on the advisability of forming a Licensed Victuallers' Association for the colony. Tho proceedings were not open to the press, and Mr. Smith, secretary, Mates that nothing of importance has yet boon done.
