[BY TKLEGRAKH. —PRESS ASSOCIATION".] K awakawa, Tuesday. The Coal Company's employes have not responded to the rtquest of the manager to start work. Ten men were engaged yesterday getting coal for pumping and other purposes. The hands thu-- jmployed have been notified by the union that they must cease work in twenty-four hours Threats from unionists have intimidated most of the free labour off..Tod. The company have issued notices to prevent gumdigging on their property, and also to trie men occupying their houses to vacate them at once.
