THE WILD WEST SHOW.

Wibth'S Wild West Show attracted another big audience last night, and the clever performances of the various members of the company received duo acknowledgment from the spectators. The scenes representing life in the wild west, with all its romantic and picturesque features were as usual the part of the show around which the greatest interest centred. The extraordinary lassooing feats created much astonishment, and evoked hearty applause. The email boys about town are taking to the lassooing business with enthusiasm, and many of them are to be seen practising the art with bits of rope, or even with string. To-morrow afternoon, provided it is fine, the public will have an opportunity of judging what the cowboys really can do in the way of laßeooing and breaking-in horwes and cattle. They will perform in the open air at Potter s Paddock, and having thus more scope for their energies, and being able to deal with really wild cattle and horses without danger to the audience, the performance will, no doubt, be unique. Popular prices will be charged and m there will be ample travelling facilities by tram and train, we may safely anticipate a very large assemblage of the public. There has been a good deal of doubt expressed about the abilities of the cowboys to rope and ride wild animals better than can do done by local talent. A challenge haa accordingly been issued by the proprietors of the show to anybody to bring l the wildest horses or bullocks in their possession upon which the cowboys may show their skill. To-morrow afternoon the wildost bullock obtainable in Auckland is to be turned adrift by himself, and Mr. Meadows, who holds the championship for this kind of work, will lassoo, throw, and tie the beast up ready for branding, after which the other cowboys will ride him.
