MILL HANDS AND BUSHMEN'S UNION.

A MEETING of this Union was held last night in the Catholic Institute. Mr. Foley, vicepresident, occupied the chair. The resignations of Mr. White, president, and Mr. W. McKinstry, treasurer and member of the executive, were received. The secretary of the Trades and Labour Council wrote requesting the members to have their names placed on the electoral rolls. Several applications to be placed on the roll of memVers were received. The secretary of the Trades and Labour Council, with which the Union had requested to be affiliated, wrote stating that they would be accepted, butthat they be recommended to alter certah rules, the Council considering that the entrance fee was far too high under existing cicumstances. The election of officers was tlen proceeded with. Six gentlemen were jroposed for the office of president. Serutiteers were appointed, and a show of hands vas taken, which resulted in the election
