London, July 26. The English wheat market shows a general advance of Gd per quarter ; the Continental and American markets are also undergoing a general advance. At the tallow auctions to-day 1725 casks were offered, and 1100 sold. Medium mutton realised 255; ditto beef, 24s Gel. The highest point of recovery at the recent series of wool sales brings tho prices back to the level of those obtained at the close of the previous series. London, July 28. For Australian wheat, o IF coast, sellers ask 38s Gd, while buyers are only willing to give 38s. New, Zealand ditto, 375. Per New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co. London', July 25. Tallow.—There is a good demand. Fine mutton tallow has declined 3d per cwfc, since last report. Other quotations are unchanged. Frozen" Meats.—Mutton market is quiet. Canterbury and Wellington mutton is worth 4£d and 4d per lb. respectively. Beef market is firmer. New Zealand beef, forequartera and hindquarters, is worth 2|cl and 'li-d per lb. respectively.
