WELLINGTON NEWS NOTES.
[BY TELEGRAPH. —OWN CORRESPONDENT.} Wellington, Monday. CABINET MEETING. Ministers mob in Cabinet this morning. Nothing is known a* to the subject of their deliberations. ELECTION INTELLIGENCE. There is quite a crop of candidates spoken of for Southern constituencies. Sir Walter Bullor is the principal person mentioned in this connection. Mr. Twopcny, late of the Otago Daily Times, will, it is stated, stand for Dunedin. Air. Fish is also spoken of as a candidate. Mr. Hutchinson, formerly Mayor of Wellington, and a member of tho House is also mentioned. There are many more "possibles'' or probables" suggested. I name the above to show the interest that is already manifested hore in the elections. POLITICAL CABINET MAKING. Nothing new is heard of the experiments in this line which have been the vogue for the last few day*. 1 endeavoured to-day to get an inkling of authority either to deny or affirm any or all of these rumours, but I was not successful. Time will tell. The Ministerial intelligencer is impenetrable when such questions are alluded to.
