Melbourne, February 13. The following are the rest of the entries for the Sydn-y Gold Cup Serf, Scots Grey, Chintz, Tartar, Swing, Dreadnought, Abercorn, St. George, Singapore, Carbine, Skiff, Rudolph, and Oakleigh. THE REGULATING OF HACK RACING. Wellington, Thursday. The stewards of the Wellington Racing Club have declined to pass the programme of the Hack Racing Club for a meeting on Easter Monday on the Island Bay Course. EGMONT RACES. Hawera, Thursday. The Egmont races were commenced to-day. There was grand weather, and a good attendance of the public. The results were :— First Hurdle Handicap, of (JOsovs, two miles and a distance.— 9st 101b, 1; Ruapehu, 9»t 21b,. 2; Gladius, 10et 71b, 3. Rossiter (9st 7lb) was out of the race from the start. Ruapehu and Armourer ran together all the way, and fought out the race between them. Dividend, £4 os. Sapling Stakes, of 45sovs. Six furlongs. Sleep, 1; Fleta, 2. Won easily. Time, lm. 245. Dividend, £1 7s. Eomont Handicap, of 250sovs. Second horse SOaovs, and third lOsova out of the stokes. Two miles.— Patchwork, 7st 121b, 1; Foxton, 7st 101b. 2 ; Montrose, list, 3. This was a splendid race from Btart to finish between the first three horses, Patohwork winning by half a length. Dividend, £3 19s. Handicap Hack Race, one mile and a dis-tance-Despised, 1 ; Duries, 2 : Blue Mountain, 3. Dividend, £43 4s.
