A TIMARU SENSATION.

[by telegraph.—press association.] Timaku, Tuesday. A sensation was caused among proznenaders on the wharf on Sunday afternoon, by Mr. M. S. Black, rabbit inspector, stabbing with a sheath-knife a Newfoundland dog, owned by Mr. Moss Jonas, which had his retriever by the throat. Mr. Black says he was justified, and was fully determined to kill, but the knifo slipped.
