In the matter of grain in bags holding over four bushels, the Railway Department notify that rate and a-quarter has been reduced to rate and one-eighth. Only the extra Sd will be charged on such bags as contain more than four bushels, but the number of such bags should be stated on the consignment note. Constable Ward has succeeded in arresting one of a gan<* of sly-grog sellers who iulest our gumfielas. These characters are a nuisance to the community upon whom they prey. Constable Ward deserves great credit for the manner in which he effected the arrest. The name of the offender is Koroi, a native.
