NAPIER PARK RACES. [BY TELEGRAPH. —PRESS ASSOCIATION. J Napier. Tuesday. The Napier Pork Racing . Club's Autumn meeting to-day was largely attended, notwithstanding inclement weather and rain during part of the afternoon. The following is the result of the chief events :—

Handicap Hurdle Race, of lOOaovs. Two miles. Mr. Joyce's b g Premium, Oyra, 9sfc 51ba (Redmond) 1 Mr. Mickey's blk g Raven, Gyrs, 9st lOlbs (Pell) 2 Mr. Hoffman's b g Orlando, aged, KM 71b (Newman) 3 Oddfellow, Maribyrnong, The Moor, and Ngatoto also started. Premium secured an easy victory by two lengths from Raven, who beat Orlando by a neck for second place. Time, 4min 7 l-sth sec. Dividends, £6 14a and £4 7s.

Eileen got half a length the best of the start, with Quilt last. Eileen and The Bean cut out the running together, having Quilt about two lengths in the rear. Rounding the hill at the bend Alorrig;in brought up Quilt, and took a feeler with him, and was then allowed to drop back again. He came up at the turn into the straight, and, dispossessing Eileen of the lead, he won easily by half a length, The J jean four lengths away. Time, lmin '2,'isec. Dividends, £1 10s and £1 14s.

Mr. Beresford's oil c Leopold, 3yrs, by Leolinus—Lovebird, 7st 111b, including 51b penalty (Lindsay) 1 Mr. Hunter's b in Lenore, 4vrs, 6st 121b (McMorrin) ... ... ... ... ... 2 Mr. Dickey's br h Tetford, aged, 7st 101b (D. Page) 3 Silence, Salisbury, Cupid, Foxton, and Thyme also started. The flag fell to a capital start, Tetford's white face showing moat prominently, the others in a oluster. Tetford led into the straight bv two lengths from Lenore, with Cupid and .foxton next, LeoJ>old fifth, then came Silence, Salisbury, and .rhyme in a cluster. Tetford, pulling double, increased his lead passing the stand, but rounding the turn to the back of the course the field began to close up. At the back Lenore drew up to Tetford's quarters,and Leopold ran through into third place. At the hill bend Leopold caught Tetford, and raced him for a furlong, when he had the big horse beaten ; then Lenore came again with a good rush, but died away in the straight. ■ Leopold iron comfortably by a couple of lengths. Tetford was the same distance away, third, Salisbury fourth, Fox ton fifth, Cupid sixth, Silence seventh, and Thyme a long way off, last. Time, 2min 44 2-sth sec. Dividends, £4 lis and £4 19s.

Tennyson was quickest on his legs from a good start, with Audacity in very close attendance. Kotuku and Dauphine got away badly. _ Tennyson and Audacity took charge of affairs, and had the race prettv nearly to themselves. In the straight, Audacity came away from Tennyson and won easily by three lengths, Escutcheon a head behind, Tennyson was third. Time, lmin 20soo. Dividends, £7 12s and £9 19s. THE SYDNEY GOLD CUP. Sydney, March 26. Faith and Minerva have been scratched for the Sydney Gold Cup. MAUKU RACES. Sydney papers to hand show that Lochiel has been nominated for all the principal events for which he is eligible, from which we may conclude that Mr. Stead intends him to fulfil his engagements at the A, J.C. meeting. A Christchurch telegram states that Sultan sprung one of his hocks while at exercise, and that in consequence he will not be seat to Australia. Nominations for the Flying Stakes of 20 sovs, Handicap Hurdle Race of 35sovb, Autumn Handicap of 50sovs, and Handicap Pony Race of lOsovs, to be run at the South Auckland Racing Club meeting on the 27th proximo, are due to-night (Wednesday), at nine o'clock.
