JUDGMENT SUMMONS.
DEFENDANTS AND TRAVELLING EXPENSES.
[BY TELEGRAPH.—PRESS ASSOCIATIOX. ] Invercaroill, Wednesday. In* the matter of tendering travelling expenses to a defendant on a judgTnent°summons case, the Resident Magistrate was today shown a telegram from lie Chief Rabbit Inspector, showing that the defendant had recently received £20 as salary. This he held was not proof that the defendant had been paid, and suggested as the really cheapest and simplest way that his expenses should be tendered so that he might be oxamined as bo his receipts. To this counsel agreed. Business people here have a very strong feeling against the Act as ifc stands.
