A SAD CASE.
[by telegraph.— press association.] Dunedin, Wednesday. An old woman, Ann Hanley, who has led an abandoned life, was found in a state of great destitution in an hotel in Staffordstreet, being vory ill, and alone, and unattended, lying on an old sofa, with scarcely any covering. Her limbs were much swollen, and she was evidently in a critical condition. She was removed to the hospital, and hopes are entertained of her recovery, Her husband is undergoing sentence for forgery.
