The Timaru Herald has the following :— " We learn that the New Zealand Insurance Company have purchased a site from Rhodes' trustees next Messrs. Perry and Perry's offices, Main Road, and intend to build large and handsome offices . immediately. This speaks well for the company's idea of what property is likely to be worth in New Zealand, anil shows in the plainest manner that they have every confidence in Timaru and in the colony generally, by the investment of a large sum of money locally. The New Zealand Insurance Company claim to be the premier company of New Zealand, and townspeople will, we are sure, be glad to hear of their decision to add a handsome block to- the already long }>« of fine buildings in Timaru."
