[press association.] Paius, October 14. It is reported that the French inspection of schools in Tunis is confined to sanitary matters. The French Government is quite willing that Italian inspectors shall accompany the French inspectors on their visits. There is a prospect of an amicable settlement of the difficulty. The Russian Consul at Tunis is supporting the French inspection of Italian schools. Rome, October 13. The Italian Government have directed the Italian teachers in Tunis not to allow their schools to be inspected by the French.
