[PRESS association.] END OF A STRIKE. Brisbane, October 10. The strike of miners at the Waterstown colliery here has been settled. CONGREGATIONAL UNION. Melbourne, October 10. The Congregational Union has commenced its sittings here. Delegates from all the colonies are present, including Rev. H. J. Lewis, President of the New Zealand Congregational Union Rev. Mr. Howden lias been elected Chairman. THE LATE SIR~X MUSGRAVE. Brisbane, October 10. The funeral of the late Sir Anthony Musgrave took place to-day. He was accorded a military funeral, and the ceremony presented an imposing spectacle. The streets of the city were crowded with spectators. It is now believed that the cause of his death was strangulated hernia. SHIPPING. Sydney, October 10. Arrived : Fijian, from Lyttelton; and Waitemata, from Kaipara. Melbourne. October 10. Arrived: Jessie, from Auckland. Sailed: Aratapu and Jessie Niccol, for Auckland.
