CARDINAL MORAN.
SPEECH IN DUBLIN.
THE COLONIES AND HOME RULE. [press association.] London, October 4. Cardinal Moran, in accepting the freedom of the city oi Dublin, said the loyalty of the colonies was a proverbial fact, which he attributed to their powers of self-government. A fairer and richer land than Australia did not exist. He argued that similar freedom would produce similar results in Ireland, and urged the Irish people and clergy to unite in their endeavours, and bring about such a result. He declared that every legitimate effort to redress the wrongs and assert the freedom of Ireland would receive sympathy and material aid from Australia.
