THE BRISBANE FIRE.
NEW ZEALAND INSURANCES. [press association.]
Brisbane, September 19. Messrs. Brown and Co., whose premises and stock were destroyed by the recent tire, had the following insurances in New Zealand offices :—Standard, £2500; South British, £2000 ; Colonial, £2000 ; National, £2500 ; New Zealand, £4000. Barker's stock was insured in the New Zealand office for £3000.
Two vessels, the Wave Queen and Cormorant, which were lying at the wharf adjacent to the premises, caught fire and were damaged by the tianies, but not to a serious extent.
