The Intercolonial Meteorological Conference have resolved to take steps to establish stations at New Guinea, Noumea, Tahiti, and other points in the Pacific, in order to obtain better information concerning cyclones affecting Australia.

Arrived : Northern Chief, barque, from Auckland ; Defiance, brigantine, from Auckland. Sailed : Grasmere, barque, for Thames; Cairnsmore, barque, for Tiroaru; Killarney, barque, for Kaipara.
Adelaide, September 15. Sailed : Waiinate, ship, tor Lyttelton.
