THE THAMES ASSAULT CASE.

Thames, Friday. William Davis, the man who was assaulted by his wife with a tomahawk, on the 18th ultimo, and who is still in hospital, suffering from the wounds inflicted, has made a statement to the effect that his wife assaulted him while he was asleep, and that he recollects nothing of what occurred after the first two blows until he came to his senses in the hospital.
