FISHERIES DISPUTE.
[PRESS association.] Washington, August 31. The Senate is debating the Bill to be introduced in the House of Representatives to give effect to President Cleveland's views on the fisheries question. It is considered certain that the President's Message will be adopted by Congress. It is also asserted that Sir John McDonald, the Premier of Canada, will eventually give way, and concede the freedom of waterways, under the pretext of loyalty to Imperial interests.
