New Zealand 5-per-cent. bonds, 104£; 4-per-cent. inscribed stock, 98f. No. 1 pig iron 45s 9d per ton. London, August 31. Kentish hops have advanced to 10 guineas per cwt. Wellington, Monday. Messrs. Lysaght and Co. received a cablegram from their Bristol house that galvanised iron, Orb brand, is quoted at £16 10s er ton, f.0.b., London, and is advancing. [PER N. Z. L. AND M. A. CO., LIMITED.] London, August 30. Wheat.—The market is firmer. Heavy rains have fallen. The weather is unsettled. New Zealand wheat, average and longberried, are worth respectively 38s and 40a per 4961b, landed. September 1. Tallow is in good demand. Good mutton and good beef tallows are worth respectively 25s 6d and 23s 6d per cwt. Rabbit Skins.—Stocks are beyond trade requirements. All descriptions have declined about 2d per lb since last report.
