New Zealand Herald Office, s Saturday afternoon. The Customs duties to-day amounted to £663 4s 3d. The following are the Customs receipts for the week ending September 1, ISSS : —
Messrs. Stone Bros, report that their prices for week ending Ist September of grain, produce, &c. (subject to fluctuations of market) are Splendid sample of bright short feed oats, 2s 6d per bushel; Danish, 2s 5d ; Tartarian, 2s Td; fowl wheat (broken), 2s od ; whole, 2s lOd ; maize, 2s Sd ; fowl, 2s Gil ; feet! barley. 3s 3d ; sharps, 80s ; bran, 70s ; chaff, 555; Canterbury potatoes. 80s; oatmeal, 255, £11 "s, £12 15s ; prime quality, Canterbury hams and bacon (equal numbers). TJd; Auckland, Sydney, and Southern bonedust, from £6 to £7 10s ; pure malt vinegar (casks fret*), Is 4d ; Hobart rails, pet 100, Cos ; 5 feet palings, 15s ; 6 feet, 17s ; splendid teas, Is 6d; oil, mixed paints, rope, Ac., at low prices.
