BALLOON ACCIDENT.
AN AERONAUT KILLED TWO OTHERS INJURED. [PRESS association.] London, August 28. Mr. J. H. Simmons, the aeronautascended in a balloon at the Irish Exhibition, now being held at the Olympia Circus, South Kensington. The upward journey was successfully accomplished, but in the descent the car collided with a tree, and Simmons was killed. Later. ' It appears that Simmons, the aeronaut, with two companions, had as- 1 cended in a balloon with the intention of crossing the English Channel and proceeding to Vienna, when, owing to an accident the balloon collapsed and fell to the ground in Essex, Simmons being killed, and his two companions seriously injured. At the Exhibition being held at South Kensington, balloon ascents are made every Monday.
