[BY TELEGRAPH. —PRESS ASSOCIATION.] Ciiristchurcii, Monday. The City Council decided to-night to have a special Act prepared enabling them to establish gasworks, and to prepare a petition to Parliament for signature by citizens, asking for repeal of paragraph clause 360 of the Municipal Corporations Act, which prevents municipalities from establishing gasworks without first obtaining a special Act.
