On the day after leaving she met with a gale causing her to labour so heavily that the cargo shifted, and she was thrown on her beam ends. The gale moderated next day, and she was out in trim, and on meeting a heavy north-west gale on the 23rd she anchored to the leeward of Cape Saunders, but the wind suddenly shifted to the south-west, and the captain had to slip one of his anchors and 65 fathoms of chain to save the ship. -
