On the motion of Mr. Jackson seconded by Mr. Goldsbury, it was resolved that the engineers be requested to furnish the Council with a copy of the memorial as they knew nothing of its origin. Financial Statement.—The Town Clerk reported that at last meeting the amount to the credit of the borough account was £609 6s Id; paid away during term, £11 i s . paid in, £17 Os 9d, leaving a credit balance of £615 5s lOd. The waterworks account, credit was stated to be £198 2s 3d.
