THE WELLINGTON RUGBY UNION.
[by TELEGRAPH. —PRESS ASSOCIATION'.] Wellington, Tuesday. A split occurred in the Rugby Union at a special meeting last night. The general policy of the management Committee was traversed, but without apparent reason, and a motion of no confidence was carried. The representatives of t.he junior clubs strongly supported the motion. The Wellington, Athletic, and Ponekes—the three principal clubs in the city—refused to be represented on the new committee, and as they, it is understood, will not recognise the Union after this season, fresh arrangements will have to be made. The Union decided to send a message of condolence to the English Football Team on the loss sustained by the death of Mr. Seddon.
