The immigration and emigration returns for the colony for July show the arrivals to have been CIS persons, while 1908 took their departure from New Zealand. The exodus was principally to Victorialoss having booked for there, and (515 for New South \\ ales. The loss to the colony by excess of emigration over immigration during the previous six months ended June was 5130 persons. There were no arrivals or departures of Chinese in July.
